MAMAMOO's MAMA 2018

Their debut to Asia's biggest music award show.

And here we have it, their deserving debut in MAMA. Let's start things one by one starting with:

1. Solo stage of Solar, Cleopatra

So, the perfortmance was already at a great start. Solar pole dancing making audiences in shock and a amaze. What I really like about this, is that she learned pole dancing within an hour. We can already feel how talented the girl must be. Another thing I like was that she was I think around 27 around this time, yet she successfully performs. I can feel the guilt of MAMA for not letting MAMAMOO debut on their stages already... Next up:

2. Wheein, with solo song, Easy

(Sadly, there weren't much photos of Wheein's performance. This is the only one I could find.)

Wheein's solo performance was amazing but it felt, mediocre. It was a little let down from Solar's Cleopatra pole dancing performance to Wheein just doing the normal choreo and being a bit out of tune from time to time on. Either way, I know she is an amazing singer, probably the best female group lead vocalist out there and that's why it was disapointing. She could've done a dfance break but she didn't... But it doesn't mean it's that the performance was that bad. I just expected more. Next up:

3. Moonbyul with IZone's Chaewon solo song Selfish (Original song being with Red Velvet's Seulgi)

It was at least a little bit better than Wheein's performance. But, for Moonbyul? This is nothing. She had performed more and performed better. I know Byulyi could do better but this? Se could've done better. Still amazing and able to beat out a lot of the other group's performances. Next, the most iconic,

4. Hwasa's performance of one of the most successful collaborations, Don't Give It To Me

This was the best part of their performance. The way she screamed, "Are you ready MAMA? Pay attention to me!" Let heads turn and just made it the best performance out of all of them by now. She was able to give me the satisfaction after the last 2 members' performance. It's the femme fatale, queen of queens, It Girl walking, performing on the stage.

As expected, there was backlash. South Korea, well known with how conservative they are, was against this. The keyboard warriors have been unleashed, otherwise known as KNetz. KNetz are very known with how harsh they could be so as I watched this performance, it was sadly expected. The sadder thing about this is the fact this was her first time making the performance her own and even cried in the shower right after the performance because she was anxious and scared about what the audience might think.

I'm glad she didn't take such to heart and continue to be the Hwasa I know.

5. MAMAMOO's group performance of Egotistic+Starry Night

The performance was amazing. They even remixed Egotistic for the sake of this performance. Byul and Wheein were ressurected through this. Finally, their performer monsters were awaken. And with that, the whole performance is finished. I'll leave the video to let you experience the type of performers they are.
